Doug joined Avalon in February 2017 to take up the position of Senior Project Manager. With a background in property and buildings project management (most recently for Opus), he has additional qualifications in advanced carpentry and quantity surveying. One of Doug’s projects was the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh and in an earlier life he served in the Army in a number of different roles.
He enjoys “the wide variety of projects at Avalon and the responsibility of managing the team’s projects from concept to completion”. Of life outside work, Doug reports: “My wife and I spent our early years travelling overseas, we now enjoy spending time with our young family. When possible I also enjoy time at the lakes and rivers fly fishing”. Which tells us something about Doug’s patience and persistence!
