Toma has been with Avalon well over a decade. That’s also as long as he has been in New Zealand, having escaped here from Romania in 2003. Toma brought with him a long history in rope access in the areas of telecommunications tower installations and structural work.
Toma particularly values the long-term client relationships he makes on the sites he visits frequently for Avalon, as well as the opportunity to solve the various challenges that can arise every day in his work as a rope access technician.
Off site, Toma’s family is very important to him. “And when I’m not doing something with them, I can usually be found working on my club-level Subaru race car that I try and get on the track more often than in the garage on repairs and maintenance.” A keen fisherman, Toma adds, “These distractions mean the fish are relatively safe at the moment.”
